TEAMBUILDING : SAIL A TALL SHIP

Since 1991 Great Lakes Schooner Company has been planning corporate teambuilding cruises in Toronto Harbour. Our two tall ships offer our corporate clients an experience that cannot be created anywhere else in downtown Toronto.

Your guests actually get to sail a Historic Tall Ship and not just sit back and watch. The participants will come away from the event with new skills and learn to adapt to any new situation they find themselves in.

The programs are designed to be an interactive, hands-on experience that covers:

• Navigating, steering the vessel
• Learning about the traditional life of a sailor
• Firing a traditional ships cannon
• Raising and dousing sails
• Handling Lines
• Singing Sea Shanties
• Manning the foredeck

Depending on the number of guests, we typically simulate a “Man over Board” exercise. Your guests will have to put into practice many skills including interactive, communicational, and problem solving in order to complete the task successfully. Our experienced, fully trained crew will be on hand to help achieve the goals you require from the activity.

All of our boats are able to host different kinds of team building events. All have great open spaces for holding large numbers in one room or outside.
